What is this? Not easy to say... an experimental project,
a dream for someone, a nightmare for someone else. The dream,
for myself, is born after I saw the "Wargames" movie at
cinema; I was ten. You know a lightning? Well, suppose I was hit!
The idea that a computer can speak that way changed something in my
mind. So, with Commodore 64 I started programming something similar
to the Prof. Falken chatting shell. The Adam name was invented only
a lot of years later with Fabrizio Monaco, a friend of mine. After
passing from C64 Basic, AmigaBasic, Amiga Lattice C, Borland C and
finally Visual C++ we arrive to what A.d.a.m. today is. In 1998, Angelo
Di Mastromatteo (another friend) joined the project and from that
day I'm working with him, with great satisfaction. He's a theorist
and a strong minded person; many of the features of A.d.a.m. are of
his conception.
Today, as in the past, the ADAM project is growing at
a slow rate as you can see reading the changes list. However we'll
keep hard programming and studying as much as possible because we
really believe in what we are doing.
